Nieves, born in Spain to Chinese Immigrants, was moved by the warmth of the Muslim community and the beauty of prayer.
The Struggle
We noticed something missing.
The apps we tried felt too busy, with cluttered screens, endless features, and no real sense of where we stood with our prayers. There was no way to see our salah journey.
Prayer deserves clarity, not clutter. We wanted a way to bring design and devotion together, simple, intentional, and centred on worship.

As a tech consultant and passionate product designer, Rene spent years building digital experiences that simplify complexity.
With her background in psychology and special & inclusive education, Nieves understands how people learn, grow, and connect.
So we combined our worlds to build Salah Flow: a calm, minimal space that helps Muslims visualise & strengthen their connection to Allah through the rhythm of prayer.

We do one thing: help you track your salah beautifly, consistently and accurately. What makes us different? We're designed for Inclusion and accessibility from the ground up, not as an afterthought. That means dyslexia-friendly fonts and layouts, colorblind-safe design, and a menstruation tracking mode that actually respects women's experience. We're building this because the Muslim community includes people with different needs who are often overlooked.
How do i get started with Salah Flow?
Getting started is simple. Download Salah Flow from the App Store, you can create an account using your Apple ID or email, and you’re ready to go. The app will ask for your location to calculate accurate prayer times. From there, you can start logging your prayers, explore the heatmap, and customise your experience with themes, adhan notifications, and accessibility settings. It takes less than a minute to set up.
Is the app really free? How do donations work?
Yes, Salah Flow is completely free. No paywalls, no "premium" tiers, no features locked behind payment. Everyone gets the full app, period. Why? Because our mission is accessibility and inclusion. The moment we charge money, we exclude Muslims who can't afford it. That defeats the entire point of what we're building. So how do we keep the lights on? Optional donations from users who believe in keeping Salah Flow free for everyone. If the app helps you establish consistent salah and you have the means, you can donate within the app. Your donation directly funds development, accessibility improvements, and keeping the app free for those who need it most. If you can't donate or choose not to, that's completely fine. You get the exact same app, the same features, the same support. No guilt, no pressure, no second-class experience.
What happens with my email and data after I sign up?
Your email is stored securely through Loops.so, a GDPR-compliant email service. We use it only to send you the updates mentioned above (launch notification, progress updates, beta invitations, and occasional reflections). We will never sell or share your information with anyone. Period. You can unsubscribe or request deletion of your data anytime by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or contacting us at contact@salahflow.com.
Do I need a specific device to use Salah Flow?
Salah Flow is available on iOS. You’ll need an iPhone or iPad running iOS 15 or higher (released in 2021 — if your device got that update, you’re good). We’re building the Android version next and expect to launch it within 3–6 months. If you’re on Android, sign up to our mailing list at salahflow.com and we’ll notify you the moment it’s ready. Why iOS first? We’re a two-person team and we’d rather ship one excellent app than two rushed ones. Now that iOS is live and we’re gathering real user feedback, we’ll bring that same quality to Android. We’re committed to both platforms — we’re just being honest about our capacity.
